After my first CrossFit WOD, there was no looking back. I turned away from personal training and traditional weight lifting to become committed to the CrossFit program. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time I finish a workout, always competing with myself to be better physically and mentally. Through High School I played Soccer, Hockey and Baseball. I currently continue to stay active on the ice in different men’s hockey leagues. After High School, I went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. I spent 5 years as a Mass Transit Police Officer, then in 2010 chose a different path and became a Firefighter for the Boston Fire Department. As a First Responder, I know from experience how important it is to be in top physical shape to handle daily hardships of my profession. I strongly believe my training through CrossFit has made those everyday challenges much easier. I strive to pass on as much as I can from life experience and CrossFit knowledge to the members of CrossFit Subdued. Seeing athletes gain mental and physical strength through CrossFit is what makes being a coach so important to me.
